Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) has announced salary hike for its employees, effective from October 1, 2020.
According to the IT giant report, the total headcount of the company stood at 453,540 as of September 30, 2020.
The company said it is continuing investments in organic talent development focused on upskilling and innovative training methods.
TCS stated its employees logged in 10.2 million learning hours in the second quarter, a 29 per cent increase over the prior quarter. While, more than 352,000 employees have been trained on multiple new technologies, and over 427,000 have been trained on Agile methods.
The IT firm had virtually onboarded 7,200 trainees in India, nearly 1,000 in the US and close to 100 in Europe during the quarter.
Milind Lakkad, Chief Human Resources Officer of the Tata Group company said, “The salary increase will be across all bands of employees and it (the quantum) will be similar to what we had done in the past.”
