The supply chain sector in India is growing at never witnessed before pace. A burgeoning global e‑commerce market, wherein new-age consumers demand on-time delivery of products and services, has fuelled the need for a seamless logistics domain in the country. According to an ASSOCHAM study, the domestic logistics market is expected to rise to USD 307 billion by 2020, recording an average CAGR of 16 percent. This growth trajectory, coupled with a fortuitous spurt in technology emergence and adoption, will steer the industry into a golden era.

Technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, automated mobility, big-data analytics, blockchain, cloud computing, sensor technology, 3D printing are helping companies eliminate transparency and security issues that have plagued the supply chain sector. Given the advanced forms of automation, logistics in India is progressing towards seamless operations, to help meet the growing demand for a flawless delivery.
