Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages launches key initiatives for women employees
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) has announced three key initiatives - 'Maternity Support Programme', 'Back to Work Programme for Women' and 'Women's Network' for its employees.
In the honour of International Women's Day, the FMCG firm has also launched a campaign titled as #MenAsAllies to boost and promote a culture of gender equality across the organisation.
The month-long celebration includes the launch of several programmes that would make men and women equal partners in their journey in HCCB.
Christina Ruggiero, CEO, HCCB, launched at a programme held at the company's headquarters in Bengaluru.
Commenting on the significance of the policy initiatives, Christina said that each of the policy was aimed at making everyone at the workplace feel respected and included. "At HCCB, we continue to celebrate men on women's day in our efforts to promote gender equality”, she added.
The Maternity Programme is aimed at providing all necessary support including medical advice and counselling to both men and women employees. The programme provides for planned interventions by experts, managing pre and post-delivery changes and back-to-work preparation allowing them to seamlessly join the work back.
The Back to Work Programme is aimed to help women on a career break make a gradual transition back into the corporate world.
The company also plans to provide a six month of internship to these women to help them acquire necessary skillsets and regain their confidence before they are inducted into the workforce.
Apart from this, HCCB also announced the launch of Women's Network Programme, which is designed as a platform for all working women to come together and help each other in all matters, both personal as well as professional.
