Professionals Prefer Talking to Robot Over Their Manager About Stress: Study

As COVID-19 pandemic takes its toll on the mental health of people, a whopping 91 per cent professionals in India would prefer to talk to a robot over their manager about stress and anxiety at work, according to a recent Oracle study.

 

The study conducted across 1,000 employees, managers, HR leaders, and C-level executives in India found that the pandemic has created the most stressful year in history and negatively affected the mental health of 89 per cent of the Indian workforce surveyed.

 

The findings further revealed that 80 per cent of the global workforce are open to have a robot as a therapist.

 

Nearly 85 per cent people around the world said their mental health issues at work negatively affect their home life. While 93 per cent Indian surveyed felt the mental health issues at work.

 

Shaakun Khanna, Head of HCM applications, Asia Pacific, Oracle stated, “The pandemic situation has witnessed HR dealing with a crisis which has no precedence to draw wisdom from. HR is coordinating communication, facilitating remote working, helping keep workers stay productive, and assisting with mental wellbeing needs.”
