Shutterstock Appoints Sara Birmingham as CHRO

Shutterstock, a leading global technology company, has appointed Sara Birmingham as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

 

Birmingham has more than 20 years of experience and is an accomplished HR leader recognized for building high-performing organizations in fast-paced, complex change environments.

 

Birmingham has spent the majority of her career at Thomson Reuters, most recently she served as the Global Head of Human Resources for Reuters news business. She also held a number of HR leadership roles during her tenure within their Media, Legal, and IP & Science businesses.

 

As Shutterstock's CHRO, Birmingham will be responsible for delivering a transformational people strategy, focused on supporting the company's accelerated growth, building a culture of performance, and creating an outstanding employee experience. She will lead talent acquisition, learning and development, organizational effectiveness, business partnerships, compensation and benefits and internal communications.

 

She earned B.S. in Communications and Media Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
