Motilal Oswal Group has named Navin Agarwal as managing director and CEO of Motilal Oswal Asset Management Co (AMC).
This comes after the incumbent Aashish Somaiyaa put down his papers. He joined Motilal Oswal AMC in January 2013.
As per Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL) borad, Agarwal will relinquish executive responsibilities at MOFSL and take up full time assignment as MD and CEO of MOAMC.
“Considering the importance of the asset management business, the MOFSL board has decided that Navin Agarwal who has been with MOFSL over the last 20 years and has been instrumental in developing the entire portfolio of MOFSL'businesses, will relinquish executive responsibilities at MOFSL and take up full time assignment as Managing Director and CEO of MOAMC,” the company said in a note.
