At Eicher, the fact that IT has empowered HR, is truly applicable and visible. HR has come a long way since the last four years when SAP HR was launched across the company. Eicher was one of the first companies in India to adopt SAP for its HR processes. Eicher is into different businesses of commercial vehicles, motorcycles, tractors, gears, exports with eight manufacturing location and over 30 regional offices spread across India and abroad. Diversity and logistics provided a challenge in addition to a limited time frame of two months to make SAP HR come live. However this stretched target was accepted with a lot of zeal by the HR team and one saw everyone contributing in his or her own way to make the dream come true.
