Top Skills Companies Need Most in 2020

Emotional Intelligence, Blockchain, and Affiliate marketing are the three new skills companies will seek the most in 2020, according to a LinkedIn report on Top Skills.

The list has been curated by LinkedIn Learning, by surfacing timely data from the LinkedIn network of more than 660 plus million professionals and 20 plus million jobs to reveal the 15 most in-demand skills.

This year's most in-demand soft skills list indicates that companies are inclined towards talent with interpersonal and people-oriented skills. While task-oriented skills remain critical for success at work, the data shows that employers are giving equal importance to soft skills that play a vital role in the world of work.

As a result, Emotional Intelligence is the new entry to this year's top soft skills list. Creativity, collaboration, persuasion and adaptability continues to be the top four most in demand soft skills year or year, reinforcing these skills as evergreen.

Among hard skills, Blockchain is new entrant and is at first spot in demand. This is indicative of increasing awareness and demand for its wider – and lucrative use – that help securely store and send any digital asset. The small supply of professionals who have this skill are in high demand.

Other skills are Cloud computing, analytical reasoning, UX Design, business analysis, Sales, video production and scientific computing.
