The healthcare sector has witnessed greater interest from job seekers in India over the course of the last year, revealed Indeed.
According to job site, between February 2019 to February 2020, the number of healthcare sector job searches has increased 5 per cent.
Bengaluru holds the largest share of jobs in healthcare nationally, with 10 per cent of all medical jobs located in the city. Mumbai and New Delhi are at the second spot with 8 per cent of all medical jobs in the country
While, with 7 per cent and 5 per cent Chennai and Hyderabad attained the third position.
Healthcare workers have been emerged as frontline staff during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
"As the job market slows down in the wake of a global pandemic, essential services continue to drive demand, such as in the medical and public health fields. Despite the temporary slump in the sector, healthcare continues to be one of the foremost drivers of the nation’s economic growth", said Sashi Kumar, Managing Director, Indeed India.
