Sameer Batra, chief executive officer for broadband services of Bharti Airtel, has resigned from the position.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Batra has joined e-commerce major Amazon as director for mobile business development.
Batra was associated with Bharti Airtel for over 14 years, where he served various roles. Prior to broadband services, he spearheaded Airtel's content service, Wynk, for nearly two years. Before joining Airtel, Batra has worked in BPL and Reliance Infocomm.
Vir Indernath, who was the chief executive of retail business at Airtel, is expected to take over as the head of the broadband vertical.
