Bumble Offers Week-Long Holiday Twice A Year

Following company-wide week off earlier this year, Bumble has decided to make collective leave permanent.

The employees will now avail a week-long company holiday twice a year as part of the updated benefits. In addition, all employees globally will now have unlimited paid time off with uniform minimums.

The company has also announced updates to its employee benefits including bereavement leave for miscarriages and increased paid time off for caregivers. These benefits will apply to all teams globally across both Bumble and Badoo apps.

The company has also announced updates to other employee policies and benefits:

Birth, adoption or surrogacy of a child – a minimum 6 months paid leave for caregivers

Transition to work after the birth, adoption or surrogacy of a child – minimum flexible work for 4 weeks

Time off to care for a family member – minimum 12 weeks per calendar year

Victim of domestic violence or other violent crimes – minimum 20 days paid leave

Grievance/compassionate leave (including leave for miscarriage, death in the family, etc.) – minimum 15 days paid leave

Tariq Shaukat, President of Bumble Inc said,"The past year has been an important moment for us to reflect on the ways we work and how we can best support our teams around the world. Earlier this year, we took a collective week off but we are now thrilled to be updating our permanent benefits for our team. It's becoming increasingly clear that the way that we work, and need to work, has changed and our new policies are a reflection of what really matters and how we can best support our teams in both their work and life."
