3M India Adopts Flexible Workspaces

3M, the India subsidiary of global technology firm, has signed a deal for their headquarters at WeWork’s Prestige Central building in Bengaluru, to offer benefits of flexibility to its employees.

The technology firm has taken a 17,000 sq ft area of flexible workspace at WeWork’s Prestige Central facility, for a 2-year period.

With this, employees are ensured an easier transition back to the workplace, with the added benefits of WeWork’s amenities such as health and safety measures, technology support, conference rooms, parking, common areas and such.

WeWork also offers access to a sense of community, culture, and networking opportunities, which is in sync with the emerging back to workplace trends. With work from home blurring the boundaries of work life balance, coupled with limited social interaction and inadequate infrastructure, WeWork’s offerings provide customised workspace solutions packaged into one easy membership fee.

Santosh Martin, Chief Revenue Officer, WeWork India, said, “Meeting the ever evolving needs of our members lies at the heart of WeWork’s diverse portfolio of flexible workspace offerings. In recent times we have seen an increased demand from all businesses, especially leading enterprises such as 3M who have recognised the inherent value offered by the flexible workspace model. We are delighted to welcome them as members to the WeWork family and look forward to a long term partnership. At WeWork, our efforts are always streamlined to offer superior business solutions to our members with a nod to flexibility and collaboration.”

Sandhya Ganapathy, 3M India Head of Corporate Communications, Security and Real Estate said, “Keeping in mind the rapidly evolving dynamics around the concept of the workplace, we at 3M India took bold and decisive action to move into WeWork . This arrangement offers convenience and flexibility for our people, in a contemporary and safe environment. As more employees hopefully return to the workplace in the coming months, we are excited to experience this new workplace model and further refine it, consistent with our company’s inclusive and innovative culture.”
