Private life insurer Aegon Life Insurance has elevated Satishwar Balakrishnan to the position of managing director and chief executive officer. Balakrishnan had joined the company in July 2019 as the chief financial officer.
"I am pleased to lead a company that is well-positioned to continue to invest in its long-term growth plan. My focus will be on advancing our ''Do-it-yourself'' insurance solutions and make them available at affordable costs and to make our entire insurance portfolio a one-click solution for our customers," said Balakrishnan.
Balakrishnan brings with him a rich experience of close to two decades in the Insurance and Finance Industry. His recent assignment has been with IndiaFirst Life and prior to that he has worked with Reliance life and ICICI Prudential. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Mumbai University.
