HCL Announces One - time Special Bonus Worth 700 crores to Employees

HCL Technologies (HCL) has issued a one-time special bonus of ₹700 crores to all employees in the world. The bonus comes in recognition of the company's milestone of breaching the 10-billion-dollar mark in revenues for last year. The bonus (an equivalent of ten days' salary) will be given to all employees with one or more years of service.

 

As of December 31, 2020, HCL has a total of more than 1.5 lakh full-time employees.

 

“Our employees are our most valuable asset. Despite an unrelenting pandemic, each and every member of our HCL family has demonstrated immense commitment and passion, contributing to the growth of the organization," said Apparao VV, Chief Human Resources Officer, HCL Technologies in a statement.

 

The company will pay the special bonus in February 2021 which will amount to around 90 million dollars and payroll taxes in some countries.

 

In the December 2020 quarter, the company's revenue increased to ₹19,302 crores and its profits rose to ₹3,982 crore, according to reports.

 

The shares of the tech company have gained 60 per cent in the past one year.
