Indian EV company Ather Energy on Saturday won the Jury Special Mention award under the HR Best Practices category at the NHRD Showcase 2020. Named ‘Noise, Vibration and Hoarseness’ after their internal podcast by the same name, their presentation talked about the innovative ways in which they ensured context was shared for their team members and how they are keeping them connected beyond just work-related meetings and events.
Talking about how context is important, Sunitha Lal, CHRO, says “In today's remote working environment context becomes critical. It helps us know why we are doing what we are doing, and also understand each other’s realities. At Ather, we disproportionately focus on explaining the ‘why’. It is articulated as one of our behaviors in our value statement.”
This is the second year in succession that Ather has been a part of the event and won an award.
The HR Showcase is a unique trade show style event for HR professionals to present their most impactful HR practices & initiatives, learn about practices in other organisations, network with peers and compete for the coveted Grand HR Showcase awards.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the HRD Network Bengaluru Chapter, in collaboration with NHRD's National Chapter, held the 9th HRD Showcase virtually on November 27 and 28, 2020.
