HDFC Bank Names Ramesh Lakshminarayanan as CIO

HDFC Bank has appointed Ramesh Lakshminarayanan as Chief Information Officer (CIO).

 

Lakshminarayanan will be responsible for elevating the bank’s technological transformation journey through technology strategy, strengthening foundational technology, enhancing the digital capabilities and harnessing new-age AI/ML technology solutions.

 

Lakshminarayanan has more than 25 years of experience and held multiple leadership positions with leading BFSI organisations such as CRISIL, Citibank, ABN AMRO Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Group. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology and Information Officer at CRISIL.

 

Lakshminarayanan said, “I hope to utilise my experience and understanding of technology, new digital platforms, data and analytics to ensure that the bank maintains its pole position in leveraging technology.”

Lakshminarayanan has pursued Bachelor’s in Physics from Mumbai University and an MBA from the University of Pune.
