CVS Health Plans To Hire 15,000 Employees

CVS Health has planned to hire full and part-time employees as the company braces for an influx of demand during influenza season and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The healthcare giant will add more than 15,000 workers of which two-thirds will be licensed pharmacy technicians.

Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Lisa Bisaccia said, "We're estimating a much greater need for trained pharmacy technicians this year given the continued presence of COVID-19 in our communities."

CVS has a total headcount of about 300,000 U.S. employees across its operations.

Recently, the U.S. government has signed agreements with CVS and Walgreens Boot Alliance to administer COVID-19 vaccines to residents of all long-term care facilities.
