J Venkatramu has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).
He has more than 22 years of experience across banking services such as payments, mobile banking, and retail banking products.
Venkatramu is presently working as Chief Digital Officer at Equitas Small Finance Bank.
A personnel ministry order said, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the department of posts for appointment of J Venkatramuto to the post of Managing Director and Chief Executive Office, India Post Payments Bank for a period of three years."
He will succeed Suresh Sethi who served as founder MD and CEO of the Bank till March.
