State Bank of India (SBI) has appointed Charanjit Attra as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
He will report to J Swaminathan, Deputy Managing Director of the Finance department.
“Pursuant to the applicable provisions of the 'Sebi (LODR) Regulations 2015 read with Schedule lll Part A(A)(7), we advise that Charanjit Surinder Singh Attra has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer,” the lender said in a regulatory filing.
Attra will oversee statutory audit functions in the bank apart from coordinating with the banking regulator and the National Financial Reporting Authority on auditor related issues.
Before joining SBI, Attra was a partner at the global consulting company EY. In one of his earlier stints, he served as the CFO of 3i Infotech and ICICI Securities.
