Former Wipro Chief Abidali Neemuchwala Joins DVP as Partner

Former Wipro Chief Executive and Managing Director Abidali Neemuchwala has started a new journey with Dallas Venture Partners (DVP) as Venture Partner.

 

The Texas-based investment firm has plans of investing $300-500 million in startups in India. The company will focus on early stage and growth stage startups working on cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), mobile and emerging technologies.

 

DVP’s Managing Director Dayakar Puskoor said in the statement “Neemuchwala has been a statesman of the IT services industry and a thought leader advising global CXOs on digital transformation. His rich experience in business and technology, and extensive network, will benefit the startup ecosystem worldwide".

 

Neemuchwala stated, “I will play my part in nurturing innovation, mentoring startups, and celebrating entrepreneurship . . . With a focus on B2B SaaS companies, we will help startups acquire global customers".

 

Neemuchwala has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to Wipro, he served key leadership roles with Tata Consultancy Services, in business, technology, sales, operations and consulting.
