About 88 per cent of the workforce in India prefer working from home, revealed a recent study commissioned by SAP Concur.

The survey sampled 300 respondents in India and 2,012 in other region working in retail, manufacturing, health, technology and financial sectors.

Nearly 22 per cent employees in India want their companies to pay for all expenses needed for a productive working environment at home. While 76 per cent employees in India stated their organisations provide subsidies or completely pay for a mobile plan, broadband internet and IT peripherals.

"Bringing in digital transformation for expense claims or invoice processing can have a huge multiplier effect on business and cost control," Mankiran Chowhan, MD of SAP Concur's Indian subcontinent operations said in a statement.
